You appear to “have it all together” and fear if anyone knew how hard you were working, how inadequate you felt, or how you truly see yourself it would all unravel. You're worried one more thing on your plate would send you into a crisis, and you already feel like you're drowning in overwhelming thoughts & feelings. You're creative & resourceful at finding ways to cope with the stressors of life, but these methods ultimately make things worse in the long run. Maybe this shows up as depression, anxiety, “never good enough” feelings, perfectionism, unhealthy eating patterns, overachieving, people-pleasing or avoiding.
I would be honored to walk alongside you in a collaborative relationship towards lasting change. I guide my clients in processing unresolved trauma & attachment patterns and adjusting to life transitions, gaining a repertoire of adaptive, less problematic coping methods, identifying values and barriers to living within them, exploring relational dynamics and growing in interpersonal skills.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker using evidenced based approaches including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I will help you understand the relationship between your story of the past & how you are functioning in life today, and aid you in moving toward a rich, full and meaningful life according to your values. Pain in life is to be expected -- continued suffering does not have be the norm.
